Members of the Claremont City Council will be manning (or in one case womaning) the City booth at the Farmers Market tomorrow, Sunday, April 5th. They generally schedule this for the first Sunday of every month. Mayor Corey Calaycay and rookie councilmember Larry Schroeder will not be taking a shift. The remaining three councilmembers, Peter Yao, Sam Pedroza, and Mayor pro tem Linda Elderkin will be there at the following times:
Peter Yao: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Sam Pedroza: 10 a.m. to noon
Linda Elderkin: noon to 1 p.m.
The market sets up on 2nd Street between Indian Hill and Yale, rain or shine. It should be nice tomorrow.
Dog lovers: this should be a good time to bring your complaints, comments, gripes, or kudos on the dog park and its recent contretemps directly to our elected officials.
We don't know how much truth there is to it, but we understand that in the spirit of the "street fair" aspect of this event, councilmember Sam Pedroza and Mayor pro tem Linda Elderkin will be doing a scene from Hamlet in character as Pedrozancrantz and Lindanstern sometime around noon.
