Summer Movies in the Park

Here's a reminder that the city's Movies in the Park series of family films begins this coming Thursday. The series is hosted by the Claremont Police Department and the first installment will be at Wheeler Park on July 17th, when "The Bee Movie"will be shown.

The movies are free and move from park to park during the summer. The events begin at 6:30pm, and the movies start at sundown. Here is a complete list of the shows and locations:

Thursday, July 17 - Wheeler Park - "Bee Movie"
Tuesday, July 22 - Lewis Park - "Nancy Drew"
Thursday, July 24 - Blaisdell Park - "Surf's Up"
Tuesday, July 29 - June Vail Park - "Shrek the Third"
Thursday, July 31 - Larkin Park - "Daddy Day Camp"
Tuesday, August 5 - Memorial Park - "Enchanted"

The police department also provides food and soft drinks, and the city's Human Services Dept. will have games and crafts for kids. An In-and-Out trailer will be serving food on August 5th for the final show.
