We received this email in response to our post yesterday about Claremont's Padua Park grant application to the San Gabriel and Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy:

Great story. Thanks for doing all the research on the wheeling and dealing of our elected officials.

I do have a comment about Pedroza (in that sense it could apply for other officials as well). How is it possible for somebody like him, who is employed 100% (presumably) by the Sanitation District to spent so much time in committees and other official business meetings and still do his job, for which I assume he receives compensation.

How does he get away with attending committee meeting during the day on a regular basis, while he is employed by the sanitation district? Must be nice to work for the County!

Yep, your tax dollars are about the only thing at work here.
