Gold Line to Ontario Airport - Community Meetings Scheduled

We received some information from the folks over at the Metro Gold Line announcing three open houses to solicit public input on the route selection and station siting for the Gold Line extension to Ontario Airport (this is a separate matter from the Pasadena-to-Montclair Foothill Extension):
We want to invite you and your readers to attend an upcoming open house to learn about the latest route options and station locations being studied to link the Metro Gold Line light rail line to LA/Ontario International Airport. The open houses will be held in Ontario, Upland, and Rancho Cucamonga over the next week. Residents will have the chance to speak one-on-one with the Gold Line’s project experts and weigh in with their feelings on the routes and proposed station locations. Metro Gold Line officials and elected officials will attend the meetings.

The following is the schedule of open houses:

Wednesday, June 18 – 5:30pm-7:30pm
Doubletree Hotel
Rainbow Lake Room
222 North Vineyard Ave
Ontario, CA 91764

Thursday, June 19 – 5:30pm-7:30pm
Upland First Church of the Nazarene
120 West Ninth St
Upland, CA 91786

Tuesday, June 24 – 5:30pm-7:30pm
James L. Brulte Senior Center
David Dreier Hall
11200 Baseline Rd
Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91701

* No formal presentations are planned. Arrive anytime between 5:30 – 7:30 pm.

Community input is critical to this process which will ultimately narrow the potential routes and station locations to those locally preferred.

Information is also available on the study website – www.goldline2ontario.com and the community hotline (909) 740-3170.
