City Hall seeks your input into the restoration of Sycamore Canyon Park. The park is a 40-acre nature park located north of the Thompson Creek Trail a little east of Mary Higginbotham Park. The City website has an announcement for a public meeting on December 18th:
Sycamore Canyon Park Restoration

The City of Claremont is inviting the general public to discuss plans for restoring Sycamore Canyon Park and eventually opening it to the public. Preliminary plans include removing non-native vegetation, re-establishing the trails, cleaning the watershed, planting native vegetation and creating picnic areas. The public will have an opportunity to share their comments and/or suggestions about this plan and learn about funding opportunities for this project. Everyone is welcome!

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the Padua Room at Alexander Hughes Community Center located at 1700 Danbury Road. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. For further information, please contact the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.
