The Foothill Cities blog pointed out a website called Rotten Neighbor. If you're interested in moving to an area, you can type in the zipcode and see a map of the area much like Mapquest or Google Maps. You may also see some little red flags. If you click on those you'll get information about why you may not want to buy the house next door to a particular address.
Rotten Neighbor also allows you to indicate if the bad neighbor is a business or a residence.
We're all family here in Claremont, so it wasn't much of surprise to see no flags in town. But we half expected to see a flag for a certain slap-happy councilperson who seems to have a reputation for being a hard neighbor to deal with.
Rotten Neighbor is new, so it may take a while for Claremont folks to start posting. On the other hand, maybe we're just nicer people to begin with.
