Having previously given a financial snapshot of the undergraduate colleges in Claremont, Pomona, Scripps, CMC, Harvey Mudd, and Pitzer, we now turn to the Claremont Graduate University (CGU).
These data are taken from the IRS form 990 filed by CGU for the period July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005--the latest uniformly available. We provide general comments on the information here. However, the CGU 990 for the following fiscal year, ending June 30, 2006, is also available. We provide those numbers also for comparison and refer to them as 2006 numbers. They appear in RED.
Let's turn to the numbers. Though the first section on tuition, revenue, expenses, and net assets is a bit anemic. It is when we turn to salaries that we see that CGU is home to a bunch of rock stars. And it is kind of funny, for an institution whose reputation is--well--no better than that of the undergraduate schools.
