Don't forget to do your civic duty today. The Claremont Municipal Election takes place today from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
If you need to know where your polling place is, you can check the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters website. Just type in your address, and it'll tell you where to go. Or, you can call the Claremont City Clerk at (909) 399-5460.
The votes will be tabulated in the City Council chambers at Claremont's City Hall after the polls close at 8 tonight. If you've never seen one of these, it's pretty fascinating, with people from the various campaigns filling the chamber, and the City Clerk and other city officials running the ballots through the counting machines.
It actually goes pretty quickly, and odds are that the counting will be done before 11pm. In the past, the City Clerk has posted the results on the city website. They get updated as each precinct gets counted.
