Rhino May Concerts

Rhino Records has free in-store concerts (and one book signing) this month. The events go on all summer, Fridays at 8pm and Sunday afternoons at 2pm. Here's the line up for May:

Friday Nights at Rhino
All shows are at 8pm

May 15: Woolly Bandits
Female-fronted Inland Empire garage rock

May 22: Halloween Swim Team
Straight outta Silverlake! Synth rock that is dark, edgy and danceable

May 29: Evanginitals
Alt-country hillbilly love punk rock revolution in the house

Sunday Afternoons at Rhino
All shows are at 2pm

May 17: John York
York is a former member of the Byrds & acclaimed singer songwriter. Kim Fowley cites him as “the last pure voice of the silver sixties to make it through…intact to the first decade of the 21st century.

May 24: Eliza Rickman
Eliza’s songs are distinguished by sharp contrasts. Her dulcet voice juxtaposes her haunting piano harmonies. Somber and sorrowful lyrics are paired with beautifully orchestrated and executed music spanning several pop styles and genres.

May 31: Pat Jankiewicz (Book Signing)
Upland’s own, Pat Jankiewicz, will be signing copies of his just issued book JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE: A JAWS COMPANION. An exhaustive book that delves deep into the details of all four of the Jaws films featuring interviews, behind the scenes pictures & a treasure trove of Jaws culture.
